Managing Parenthood and Your Career Series- Getting the Most Out of Your Family Dinner
November 12 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EST
Studies have tied shared meals to increased resiliency and self-esteem in children, higher academic achievement, a healthier relationship to food, and even reduced risk of substance abuse and eating disorders. Shared mealtime provides connection, enjoyment, and stability especially during the current pandemic.
At this session we will discuss how and why to make family dinners:
Speaker: Anne K. Fishel, PhD, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry; Author of “Home for Dinner: Mixing Food, Fun and Conversation for a Happier Family and Healthier Kids”; and a founding member of The Family Dinner Project.
