Parenting Series Panel: “Parenting through and Beyond Divorce”

September 8, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

Parenting After Divorce

The Parenting Series is an Office for Women’s Careers initiative focused on well-being and work-life balance for MGH faculty and trainee parents. Each session includes a panel of people with lived experience sharing their thoughts and stimulating discussion on a topic relevant to managing parenthood.

While you always knew that parenting involves both parents’ perspectives and preconceived notions, you had no idea what would be involved with the added complication of a marriage that fell apart: sharing a child or children across households, dealing with the separations from your child or children, navigating disagreements on parenting goals, and doing your best to offer a stable environment for your child or children can take immense energy and require constant resiliency on your part. No matter what your challenges on this path of being a divorced parent, we hope that this panel will provide insight and support as well as a safe space for you to share your challenges and successes.

Panelists:
Erin T. Bradley, MD, Associate Professor in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology
Evelyn Lilly, MD, Instructor in Dermatology
Darshan Mehta, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Psychiatry
Joan Sapir, MBA, EdM, Executive in Residence, MGH/MGPO
