April 23, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

Rigor and reproducbility are key factors in strong scientific research. This seminar will discuss the consideration of these factors in research design, and how to describe them in NIH funding applications, including:

  • Experimental design for robust, unbiased results
  • Consideration of relevant biological variables
  • Authentication of key biological and/or chemical reagents

Facilitator: Dennis Brown, PhD, Professor of Medicine, HMS; Director of the Office for Research Career Development, Director of the Program in Membrane Biology and Associate Director of the Center for System Biology, MGH

This seminar counts as one of the four required lectures in part III of Partners RCR training.
All are welcome, but space is limited and registration preference will be given to those with RCR training requirements.
