#Friendtorship: Cultivating peer mentor relationships in academic medicine

In this panel presentation, a peer mentoring group described the role that “friendtorship” played in their career development and identified strategies to form and maintain friendtors in academic medicine.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants were able to:
- Describe the vital role of mentorship for effective career development for health professionals
- Define “friendtorship” and describe the potential benefits of this peer mentoring relationship for health professionals
