Simple and Quick Research Participant Compensation
July 16 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT
Simple and Quick Research Participant Compensation
Speaker: John Putzke, PhD, MSPH, Studytrax, Research Scientist
When: Tuesday, 7/16/24 |1:00-2:00 pm
Location: Virtual via Zoom
Description:
Participants will learn about:
- Existing Manual Methods for documenting, monitoring and tracking participant payments via cash, gift card or check.
- Automating Payment by connecting study events to points that participants can independently exchange for gift cards.
- Optimizing Setup to maximize subject engagement and retention.
The presentation will examine the administrative burden associated with compensating research participants using traditional methods including establishing and implementing payment processes, documenting and monitoring transactions, addressing participant inquiries and reporting payments. It will also show how to eliminate this burden by using a portal that connects study events (e.g., completing a form) to points that participants can exchange for gift cards, as well as enter data, securely message the research team, and receive personally relevant study and/or disease information.
This presentation is intended for clinical researchers, study coordinators, and grant administrators involved in clinical trials, observational studies, surveys or patient registries. Attendees will learn about functionality in a data capture system called Studytrax and view various case examples.
