Active Listening for Effective Communication

September 9, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

In this two-hour session, participants learned some of the reasons why active listening is both challenging and exhausting and why mastering it is essential for communicating empathy and being persuasive with others. Participants learned the component micro-skills of active listening and had the chance to practice these skills and receive feedback in small groups through a guided skills-building exercise.
