Financial Planning 10-week Class

October 12, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

Eryn Schultz

Wednesdays, October 12 to December 21, 2022, from 4-5pm (no class on 11/23 for Thanksgiving holiday)

The Office for Women’s Careers is excited to partner with Her Personal Finance to offer a 10-week online financial planning class for co-ed faculty at MGH. This class will require a $750 upfront investment, but all participants can seek reimbursement once the course is complete from the MGPO Benefits Office as part of the $1,500 financial planning benefit. All course participants will receive instructions on how to request reimbursement from the MGPO.

Have questions about how much to save for retirement or how much you should invest in a single asset like a house? Unsure if you should pay off your student loans first or save more for retirement?

This class is designed to answer those questions while helping you navigate common pitfalls which trip up professional faculty in academic medicine. This is a unique opportunity and space is limited.

Facilitator: Eryn Schultz, MBA, Founder of Her Personal Finance. In 2015, Eryn graduated from Harvard Business School, and realized that she and her classmates were better equipped to manage a corporate balance sheet than their own finances. She launched a series of online courses starting with a 10-week bootcamp to help women answer questions like how much to save for retirement, how much house to buy, and when to pay off student loans. Eryn has spoken to women’s groups at places like Amazon, Schlumberger, Harvard Business School, and Kellogg Business School, and has been featured on NPR, CNBC, and the Houston Chronicle.
