Fun Fridays: Cooking with Nicolette

Fun Fridays offer a refreshing mid-day break from work to indulge in physical, mental, or creative activity.

Not a chef? Not a problem. Nicolette Maggiolo, RD, provided a brief presentation on nutrition and mental health. Then she whipped up some fun refreshing recipes live from her kitchen to show the audience how quick and simple it is to prepare food that fuel your physical and mental health, too!

Overnight Oats
– Sautéed Chicken with Apples and Rosemary

Instructor: Nicolette Star Maggiolo, RD, LDN, Registered Dietitian and Manager of Clinical and Culinary Nutrition for the Home Base Program, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Program. Nicolette provides both individual and group nutrition counseling to veterans and their families. Her primary responsibilities include serving those in the Home Base Intensive Clinical Program, New England Warrior Health & Fitness Program, and Outpatient Clinic. Nicolette brings her love of cooking, fitness and an integrative approach as she supports patients with individualized nutrition plans. Nicolette has a personal passion for supporting veterans, particularly as many of her mentors and family members have served in the military.

Nicolette received her degree in Nutritional Science (Dietetics) with honors from Boston University. She completed her clinical training at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute and has also served as a Clinical Dietitian in the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center.
