Large-Scale Imaging of Neural Circuits, From the Microscope to the Clinic

Objectives:
Through the review of specific example studies, gain an understanding of:

1. What are the extents of our knowledge about the wiring of the brain, and why is this important in clinical practice?
2. What are the current limitations in our ability to image the wiring of the brain in vivo?
3. What are the emerging technologies and large-scale efforts to address these limitations and move the field forward?

Presenter: Anastasia Yendiki, PhD, Associate Professor in Radiology at Harvard Medical School and Associate Investigator at Massachusetts General Hospital, Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging.

Dr. Yendiki is the lead PI of the center for Large-scale Imaging of Neural Circuits (LINC), a multi-institutional consortium funded by the NIH BRAIN Initiative CONNECTS program, with the aim of imaging human and non-human primate brain circuitry across scales.
