“Practical Tips for Clinical Skills Coaching” Workshop for Clinical Educators

This workshop is part of a series of events sponsored by the Office of Clinical Careers and the Peter L. Slavin, MD Academy for Applied Learning in Health Care to support clinical educators. Panelists shared practical tips for clinical skills coaching.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants were able to: 

  • To identify how coaching can be used for clinical skills teaching and learning.
  • To understand and apply practical elements of coaching for clinical skills.
  • To consider individual ‘next steps’ in coaching for clinical teaching and learning.

Target Audience: This activity is intended for faculty and faculty trainees.
