Rapid Methods in Qualitative Research
May 7 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am EDT
Sponsored by the MGRI Division of Clinical Research and the Mongan Institute
This one-session course will introduce clinical investigators to rapid methods for qualitative data collection and analysis. Rapid methods are useful for qualitative research projects that are time-sensitive, e.g., when investigators are conducting their work in rapidly changing contexts, providing timely feedback to the community, generating preliminary results for grant proposals, informing a subsequent data collection phase, or gathering timely insights into unexpected findings. These methods also help investigators incorporate diverse stakeholders into the analysis process. The methods further can help investigators monitor progress across multiple study sites, to guide real-time modifications to study implementation plans. During this course, we will discuss 1) the use of rapid methods in the healthcare context; 2) rapid methodologies and procedures, and 3) common rapid analysis challenges and strategies to address them.
This course is intended for MGH researchers but is available to all across MGB.
