Re-energize, Reimagine and Reinvent: Crafting the Next Chapter of Your Work and Life

January 19, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EST

Drs. Stephanie and Russell Eisenstat

Sponsored by the Center for Faculty Development’s Office for Senior Faculty Transitions

Mid to late career for highly-motivated individuals can be a time of stress and transition, but also a chance to reflect, re-energize, and reimagine work and life. Recent research in the fields of life span development and positive psychology highlights that the old paradigm and mindset of gradual decline into the retirement years is no longer accurate or helpful. In this webinar, Drs. Stephanie and Russ Eisenstat shared a high-level roadmap as well as practical first steps participants can take to move towards higher levels of intentionality and fulfillment in the mid to late stages of their careers.

Facilitators: Stephanie Eisenstat, MD and Russell Eisenstat, PhD

As a physician educator, certified coach and practicing clinician now for almost 30 years, Dr. Stephanie Eisenstat has helped individuals and groups enhance their effectiveness and impact.  She has helped others to use their voice, talents, and strengths to collaborate and create win-win solutions to complex problems and build consensus in complex contexts. Through the Center for Physician Well-Being, she currently coaches MGH faculty at all career stages on ways to achieve their aspirations in times of stress and transition. She collaborated with a MIT Sloan School of Management team to study and develop strategies for alleviating physician work burden while enhancing patient care.
