Research Council meeting
October 3, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT
At this Research Council meeting, the Mass General Research Institute Communications Team detailed the new process developed to better help Mass General investigators promote their research findings. In case you missed it, here are some key takeaways:
Want help promoting your research?
Here’s where to start.
The Research Communications Request Form is the new starting point for all requests to help promote your research findings. The form takes about eight minutes to complete and is crucial to helping us track and manage requests.
There’s more to life—and to promoting your research—than press releases.
Press releases have been our traditional way to communicate to the media and the public about new research findings, but they’re not the only way. We have other platforms—an award winning blog, social media, research spotlights–that we can use to extend the scope and reach of your work.
You can help us tell the world about your research.
We’re science fans, but we’re not science experts. So the more you can do to help us understand your work and why it matters, the better job we can do telling the world about it.
There’s strength in numbers!
Follow us on social media (see the buttons below) and send us some love! The more engagement our posts get, the more people will see them and learn about your research. And be sure to tag us in your research posts so we can like and share them, too!
