Summer Science Slam

MGRI Science Slams are fun, informal science communication events where researchers are challenged to explain their science in layman’s terms in three minutes or less. Can they take the heat?

This time around we are partnering with the Division of Clinical Research and the Munn Center for Nursing Research. You can expect to learn about the latest nursing and clinical research, but scientists from all disciplines are welcome to slam their science or watch the fun!

We encourage slammers to think outside the box in terms of presentation format (i.e. no PowerPoint) and to get creative with props, pictures, everyday household items or something we haven’t even thought of yet.
