This panel discussion clarified what constitutes teaching and awareness of existing opportunities and ways to grow as a teacher. Faculty were able to develop meaningful and fulfilling teaching responsibilities.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants were be able to:
- Articulate the specific HMS requirements, including the types of teaching activities that qualify.
- Learn to identify various teaching activities that meet the HMS teaching requirement, such as clinical teaching, lectures, small group sessions, mentorship, and peer teaching.
- Understand common challenges in fulfilling the HMS teaching requirement, such as time management and balancing clinical duties with teaching, and explore practical solutions for overcoming these obstacles.
Target Audience: This activity is intended for physicians with any specialty.
