Parenting Series Panel: “Parenting Children with Mental Health/Learning Disabilities”
March 8, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EST
The Parenting Series is an Office for Women’s Careers initiative focused on well-being and work-life balance for MGH faculty and trainee parents. Each session includes a panel of people with lived experience sharing their thoughts as well as an expert in the field to stimulate discussion and share information on a topic relevant to managing parenthood.
Parenting inevitably involves confronting challenges. We all know that in theory, but this does not prepare us to witness a child struggle with depression or have difficulty learning and feel stuck on how to help them. We brought together this panel of parents to share their experiences as we hope that this will help you to feel connected and supported as well as allow everyone attending to discuss challenges and successes in this safe space. Dr. Braaten will also serve as an expert in this space to share ideas and resources to help parents.
