Mentor, Coach, Lead for Peak Professional Performance

The most effective leaders are consistently investing in growth; intentionally and strategically developing their own capacity and that of others around them. The session explored the practices of mentoring, coaching, and leadership through the lens of maximizing professional performance and engagement. Participants walked away encouraged to elevate their own continued development, and equipped to invest in others around them.

At the conclusion of this lecture, participants were able to:
- Assess their personal mentoring, coaching, and leadership style.
- Identify common mentoring mistakes and how to avoid them
- Apply techniques for establishing trust and psychological safety in mentoring, coaching, and leadership relationships
Facilitated by Laurie K. Baedke, MHA, FACHE, FACMPE, a faculty member and Director of Healthcare Leadership Programs at Creighton University. She works with individuals and teams including early careerists, physician leaders, and senior executives. She has specific expertise in physician practice management, leadership development, organizational change, emotional intelligence, and strengths based leadership.
